Sew Sorry

‘Sew Sorry’ Friends – Of course, I had no idea this was coming!

Hey! I’m glad you stopped by because I have been meaning to apologize for not keeping all the promises I made for the YouTube channel and Sewspire.com in January 2020.

“Sew sorry friends – Of course, I had no idea this was coming!”

I could have never imagined we would be enduring a crisis of this magnitude; nor, did I know that this would be one of the most influential years of my life when I bid 2019 farewell and shared my hopes for the channel in 2020.

With each day that passes I surrender a little more to the uncertainty of the times and try to focus on the blessings that are being unearthed as a result of the solitude and in turn reflection that has resulted from months of quarantine.

Truly my heart aches for all of those who have lost a loved one, a job, a businesses or suffered any other negative consequence as a result of COVID-19. I am sending each of you so much love and sincerely hope you will remain steadfast in your faith.

In just a few weeks, our second daughter Meg is off to college and our youngest daughter Isabel will begin full-time virtual school. I pray Meg will be safe and my husband and I will embody the discipline and knowledge required to oversee Isabel’s education. We are faced with so many important decisions and yet have no precedent.

I know many of you are in the same situation and I hope we can continue to support and entertain one another as we navigate this time of uncertainty:

On Monday’s, 9:30 a.m. you’ll find me and a handful of other creative hearts talking sewing over a cup of coffee at the newly formed Element3 Health (E3H) Sewing Club. (This is the cool job that I lucked into a while back!)

On Tuesday at 8 a.m. I am on YouTube text chatting with my fellow early birds as the weekly Sewspire sewing tutorial premieres. At 11 a.m. same day I host a Sew Together at E3H whereby we work on a group project. As of late we’ve been sewing garments. If that interests you, please feel free to join us!

On Wednesday’s, I am offline to volunteer, run errands and tidy up my physical world.

Thursday’s at 2 p.m. you’ll find me refreshed and teaching a Bag Maker Workshop on Crowdcast. This opportunity is free for Patrons; but, I’d be happy to make arrangements for anyone else who wants to join us. Simply email me: [email protected]

Friday at 5 p.m. I am back at E3H where laughs abound during our weekly Sew and Tell.

I am not sure how much time you have on your hands; but, if you are looking for more creativity and connection please consider joining our Sewspire Patreon Community! You’ll get access to my quarterly master class (AMC) + our community live chats, sew a longs and holiday gift exchange! In addition to 12 of my favorite PDF Tutorials and more than a years worth of recorded content.

And, of course, we have the Facebook Group Page too!

As we move through the remainder of 2020 my intent for Sewspire is twofold:

  1. Remain connected and continue to nourish our creative minds.
  2. Leave plenty of room for the unexpected to delight us!

I hope you’ll join me for the journey! Until next time, you know the creative genius in me will be celebrating the creative genius in you! Have a beautiful week my friends!

Love,

Andrea
