Arteza 6" Quilters Ruler

Andrea’s interactive sketchbook concept

Hey y’all and welcome to a special edition of Behind the Seams with Andrea! Today I have created a time-lapse video of me working in the new interactive design book I introduced to you on Tuesday. I am hoping we can revisit the design book each week; although, there may be times when I need to talk about other matters. You understand, of course.

On Tuesday we will begin sewing the bag I sketched out above and am now calling the Route 66 Tote as it requires 66 six inch squares and Interstate or Route 66 is the road you would take to visit the studio.

I have already begun sewing and can tell you the bag is coming together beautifully! I have a sneak peek pic for you of the gorgeous material I selected for this project. The Arteza 6″ quilters ruler made light work out of the prep!

Please do let me know what you think of the interactive design book concept. Each week I will try to cover another aspect of how you can use the book including how to generate the project supply list, project variations, sketch multiple views, creative brainstorming, attaching fabric swatches and so much more!

Until Tuesday, you know the creative genius in me will be celebrating the creative genius in you.

Lots of love,

If you are just joining us…here’s the intro video which will show you how to set up your book.
