Sewspire Sewing Recipe 004: Trimmed Slip Pocket

Hey y’all and welcome to Sewspire!

My name is Andrea and this is my sewing instruction and inspiration blog. If you are just joining us — welcome! I hope you enjoy the content and will consider subscribing to the Sewspire YouTube Channel. If you are a returning visitor, I thank you for your continued interest in my designs and methodology! It is my pleasure to create for this community and I am so happy to be here with you today.

In this video I am sharing my sewing recipe for an exterior slip pocket method that incorporates piping at the base of the pocket and trim at the top of the pocket. The piping adds stability to the pocket and the trim is perfect for attaching your label or other embellishments to the exterior of the bag.

We are getting close to finishing this project and I am excited to show you how to assemble the interior and exterior next week. The following week we will work on the handles and possible zip top closure. When the project is complete I will share a PDF Tutorial with our Patreon Community and provide a link for anyone else who would like to purchase it for their pattern collection.

Until we meet again, the creative genius in me will be celebrating the creative genius in you!

? Andrea
