How to sew my 4 way divided caddy

Hey y’all and welcome to the Sewspire Sewing Inspiration Channel! My name is Andrea and today I am here to show you how to sew a generously sized 4 way divided caddy that is perfect for organizing your next sewing project and could easily be repurposed to serve a multitude of functions.

For this project you will need approximately a 3/4 to yard of material depending upon your print direction. I prefer to use a heavier weight fabric such as a home decor, twill, canvas or denim. If you opt for a cotton you will want to use an interfacing such as Pellon 809 or your choice of quilt batting to add some stability to the caddy.

To begin, precut the following fabric panels:

(4) 7″ x 15″ interior divider panels
(6) 8″ x 14″ body panels (3 for the interior and 3 for the exterior)
(4) 8″ x 8″ side panels (2 for the interior and 2 for the exterior)
(2) 5″ x 9″ or 5″ x 12″ handles (the length will depend upon your preference of having short or long handles)

I like to line my cotton handles with Pellon 808/809.

The approximate finished measurements of this piece are 7″ x 7″ x 13″.

I hope that you enjoyed this sewing project and will give the video a thumbs up!
