How to sew a sassy circular tote bag

Hey y’all and welcome to Sewspire!

Today I am here to show you how to sew this sassy circular tote bag. I hope you will have fun with your fabric selections and consider using velvet, silk, denim, wool, corduroy and flannel for this 1 yard sewing project.

To begin, you will cut out four 14″ circles from your selected fabric and two 14″ Pellon 809 circles to back the exterior fabric selection as well as two pieces of fabric which measure 6″ x 12″ for your interior pocket and two pieces of fabric which measure 5″ x 18″ for your handles.

In addition you will need a magnetic snap closure and 1 yard of 1″ cotton webbing to line the handles.

Many thanks to our generous Sewspire Patrons for making this free sewing tutorial possible! If you would like to join in on the fun and receive Patron exclusive benefits please visit www.patreon.com/Sewspire for all the details.

I will be back next week with another inspired sewing project. Until then, please know the creative genius in me will be celebrating the creative genius in you!

XO,

Andrea
