How to sew a wristlet fanny pack

How to sew a small wristlet phone clutch with interior pocket

Hey y’all and welcome to Sewspire!

Today, I am here to show you how to sew a small clutch that is designed to hold an iPhone 6 or smaller. This particular design is unique because it can be worn on the belt as well as the wrist. The clutch closes via a classic snap and there is an interior envelope style pocket to hold those items you need to keep secure, yet accessible at all times.

For this project you will need to precut the following fabric pieces:

(8) 4.5″ x 8″ pieces of home decor weight material

(1) 3″ x 26″ piece of home decor weight material

(1) 2″ strip of sew in hook and loop tape

(1) 1″ d or o ring

(1) snap set (www.snapsource.com)

For my sample clutch, I used a great linen/cotton/canvas blend from the Hawthorne Threads in house collection:
