This week, I have an Ikea Expedit bookshelf sewing hack for you. Selfishly derived, like all of our projects, I needed an attractive way to divide my sewing studio for the summer and these bookcases are perfect, except, I need both sides of the shelf to look nice.
So, I designed these simple square panels which have a little loop of elastic in each corner. I have outlined the entire project and provided you with a mini home studio tour in the video below.
For this project you will need: 4 decorative nails, 8″ of iron on hemming tape, two 14″ squares of fabric and four 3″ strips of 1/8″ elastic.
