Hey y’all and welcome to Sewspire!

Today I am here to show you how to sew a planner cover or notebook pad folio organizer that is designed to hold an iPad, phone, pens, business cards and either a standard 8.5″ x 11″ notepad, spiral notebook or planner.

When finished the organizer measures approximately 11.5″ tall by 8.5″ wide (when closed). For this project you will need 1.5 yards of material, quilt batting, Pellon heavyweight stabilizer and a 4″ strip of sew in hook and loop tape.

Precut the following pattern pieces:

(2) 13″ x 21″ body panels

(2) 18″ x 21″ pocket panels

(1) 12″ x 20″ iPad pocket

(1) 12″ x 8″ iPad pocket flap

(1) 13″ x 20″ spiral / side load pocket

(1) 18.5″ x 10.5″ piece of heavyweight stabilizer

(1) 13″ x 21″ piece of quilt batting

(2) 6″ x 8″ piece of quilt batting

I hope you enjoy the project and will share pictures of your finished (and fully loaded) planner covers with me on Instagram and Facebook using #sewspire and @sewspire .

If you would like to enter to win this very planner cover you may do so by subscribing to my Happy Mail List. I will announce the winner next week in my YouTube sewing tutorial. I will also reach out to the lucky winner via email. Please join me in congratulating Nikki Martin the winner of the Duffel Tote we stitched up last week.

I will be back soon with another travel inspired sewing project. Until then, please know the creative genius in me salutes the creative genius in you!

XO,

Andrea
