Welcome to Sewspire! This week we are making a sweet and simple sleeve to cover and protect your beloved MacBook Pro.
For this project, you will need a 5″ strip of sew in hook and loop tape, half a yard of cotton fabric and a piece of quilt batting which measures 14.5″ wide by 22″ tall. The two fabric pattern pieces will also be cut to 14.5″ x 22″.
I have outlined the assembly process here in this 12 minute video. As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions as to how we can improve this design and /or requests for future projects.
I hope you enjoy the project and will share photos of your finished sleeves using #sewspire on Instagram and Facebook.
XO! Andrea
The computer used to create this tutorial measures 12.5″ wide by 8.75″ deep and less than an half an inch in height. You can easily custom fit this design to your laptop by adding 2″ to the width of your unit and cutting the fabric panels to that width by 22″ long. If you do make a custom fit sleeve, please post your computer measurements and panel measurements here for everyone to use. Sharing is caring!
