Hi Andrea!
I just loved your inspired thoughts #3 on Practice Makes Perfect. It’s good to know that mistakes do make us better and things don’t have to be perfect…close to it is fine with me.
Looking forward to FRIDAY for the next project. Thanks for all you do!
~Nita
Aw, thank you for saying so Nita!
Hi Andrea, my sister in law and I had a sewing party and taught the 3 neices how to sew. It was Sew much fun. Our project was a drawstring backpack. I’ve been stumped what to do next. Your web page has been a great resource for ideas for our next sewing party. We’ll send you pic of projects we make soon. Thank you for you time and sewpiration!
Heather, that is such a cool idea! Now I want to host a sewing party for my girls friends. I have lots of really fun and easy projects planned, so please keep in touch. I shall be looking forward to seeing your completed sewing projects. Happy sewing! Andrea
Hello Andrea,I was in your shop last Saturday. I have just bought a Bernina QE 350 and really have not sewn for 40 years. I am so excited about your website. Thank you for helping me.
I have signed up for a quilting class in January but need basics for now. I live within 30 minutes so I hope to stop by next time I am in town. Still exploring your website…What a
dear idea to help people like me.
PS I finished your book binder project and it turned out very cute. How do I send you the pictures?

Oh that is awesome! You can email me a pic to [email protected] and I will share that with our social media community!
Hi Andrea.
What a gorgeous project – I haven’t sewed since High School!
My mother passed away recently (she was 80 and quite unwell for some time). I have recently brought home her very old Bernina, which my father tells me is still in excellent working order (as she regularly had it serviced). So I’m thinking to use your site as a guide to help me learn how to use her machine!
Welcome to Sewspire Kate! I am so glad you are here and I am excited to get you sewing on your mother’s beloved Bernina! Tell me what kinds of projects your mother enjoyed making? Lots of love! Andrea
Thanks Andrea. Mum went through lots of stages – clothes for her and us when we were kids and in more recent years patchwork quilts and bags. I also have the most amazing collection of machine sewn and hand embroidered padded coat hangers.
PS. Just watched the threading your machine tutorial and that looks familiar although hers has the bobbin under the needle.
Oh, I love patchwork design! I bet those hangers are amazing! I have a Singer with the bobbin underneath and will make a note to post a video tutorial for that type of bobbin too.
Hi Andrea.
I’ve just watched your video on filling the bob and threading the needle and that all looks very familiar!
Mum went through varied stages – clothes for us as kids (as they were very tight on money) andclothes for her and more recently patchwork quilts and bags. I’ve also inherited the most gorgeous collection of padded coat hangers – stitched by machine and then hand embroidered.
Oops. That’s weird. Sorry for the duplicate. Please delete one.
Hi Andrea. I have been watching your other videos. I am excited that you started Sewinspire. Love to see you make a Christmas stocking. But I will enjoy anything you give us.
Thank you! Donna
Thank you for your continued interest Donna! (You are a dear!) I love the idea of making stockings and will add that to our project list. Lots of love, Andrea
Hi Andrea!
Your first tutorial is great! I’m an experienced sewist but still love to watch tutorials made by you. I’ve bought many patterns through you as well as a patchwork purse. I love them all.
Although I have experience in sewing I do consider this as a continuing education experience.
Keep it up as you are one of my inspirations. Thanks!!!!!
Cheryl
Thank you Cheryl! I am so happy you are here and I will be looking forward to seeing some of the pretty projects you make! I really appreciate you taking the time to share and am so honored to serve as a source of inspiration for you. Lots of love! Andrea

Awesome idea Andrea, I love it.
Thank you so much Karen! I am so happy you could stop by and say hi! I think of you often and love seeing your beautiful bags and accessories on Facebook. Are you on Instagram too?
