How to sew a fitted card table cloth

Card Table Makeover and UpStyle

Hey y’all and welcome to Sewspire!

This week we are making a custom table cover that is sized to fit a standard card table perfectly. This particular table cloth is unique in that it has a circular accent panel that adds an interesting design element to what might otherwise become a fairly ordinary place setting.

I imagine you could create a stunning table setting, desert display or gift station by positioning platters, trays and favors within the center medallion and smaller accent pieces in the four outer quadrants.

Please do share photos of your new table coverings with me on Instagram and Facebook using @sewspire and #sewspire and I will do the same.

If you enjoy this tutorial you may also want to watch last week’s video in which I show you how to make the coordinating folding chair slipcovers.

Until we meet again, please know, the creative genius in me salutes the creative genius in you!

XO,
Andrea

For this project you will need 3 yards of cotton fabric precut to the following dimensions and shapes:

Two 31″ circles
One 35.5″ square
Four 9″ x 35.5″ rectangles

If you like the look shown, I’d suggest purchasing one yard each of three coordinating prints.
