Convertible Patchwork Backpack by Sewspire

Episode 11: The Reveal

Hey y’all and welcome to Sewspire!

I am SO EXCITED to show you how this beautiful bag comes together. In this episode we are crafting the d-ring flap closure which will complete our Collaborative Patchwork Backpack.

For this portion of the project you will need two pieces of quilt weight cotton which measure 12″ x 10″, one piece of quilt weight cotton which measures 12″ x 6″ and another piece which measures 8″ x 6″, plus two 1.5″ d-rings and one cut of quilt batting which measures 12″ x 10″.

I am so grateful for this time we got to spend together collaborating on the design of this bag and want you to know I am so thrilled with how it turned out and am certainly going to cherish it! Thank you so much for your contributions and a special thank you to our friend Jo, on the other side of the world, who has been sewing right along with me! (Jo your bag is gorgeous and I am certain your sister is going to be over the moon with her birthday gift!)

I will be back soon with a fresh series centered around home decor and slipcovers which I hope you will also enjoy.

Until we meet again…

The creative genius in me salutes the creative genius in you!

XO,

Andrea
